To deal with Coronavirus, PM Modi has requested every citizen to use Aarogya Setu Mobile App and to check that they have this draconian disease or not. To brace for this invasive COVID-19 Indian government has launched the Aarogya Setu Mobile App.
According to the latest updates from The Indian Express, it is mandatory for every resident in Noida to have Aarogya Setu App on their phone. If someone don’t have this app on their phone, it will be a punishable offence. Residents who are living or coming to Noida and Greater Noida, must have this app on their phone otherwise they would be fined of Rs. 1000 or imprisonment up to six months.
Speaking on the circulation, Law and Order DCP Akhilesh Kumar said to The Indian Express, “All those with smartphones who do not have the application can be booked under Section 188 of the IPC (disobedience to an order duly promulgated by a public servant). After that, a judicial magistrate will decide if the person will be tried, fined or let off with a warning”.

On this matter, DCP Akhilesh Kumar said, “If people download it instantly, we will let them go. We are doing this so people take the order seriously and download it. But if they do not download it after repeated warnings, we will have to take action”.

Talking on the matter of not having data on the resident’s phone, Kumar said, “we will give them hotspot so they can download it there and then”.
