Up to 20,000 Indian students who were studying in Ukraine were forced to leave when the Russia-Ukraine war broke out in February of this year.

There is now an opportunity for Indian students who left Ukraine as a result of the Russo-Ukrainian War to continue their study in Russia.

According to Oleg Avdeev, the Russian consul general in Chennai, "Indian students who left Ukraine ........

.......can continue their study in Russia as the medical syllabus is practically the same (as Ukraine)."

According to Avdeev, "They (Indian students) learned the language of people because most people in Ukraine spoke Russian.

Up to 20,000 Indian students who were studying in Ukraine were forced to leave when the Russia-Ukraine war broke out in February of this year. 

 India undertook a special operation known as "Operation Ganga" to evacuate these pupils from the country due to its ongoing war.

The majority of these students were mostly studying medicine. Their academic future, nevertheless, has been in doubt ever since they went back to India.

In July 2022, Roman Babushkin, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Russian Embassy in New Delhi, also made a related declaration.

Indian students who had to stop their studies in the middle will be admitted to Russian universities without having to forfeit their prior academic years.
