Slow down. No ticky = no speedy If this doesn't work, go to #2. Be courteous when being stopped. If you have any questions, ask them, but don't debate.

Let the police know why you believe you need a warning and pray that they agree. If this doesn't work, go to #3.

Attend court. Say "Not Guilty, Your Honor" when you are called to the bench and asked how you wish to proceed.

The state or city prosecutor then has the burden of proving your guilt (note that in the US, you are not required to do so).

After the officer has testified, you can, if you'd like, ask him or her any questions that would help prove your innocence.

You were found guilty by the judge. But don't worry; there is a way to lessen this, and many judges will gladly make an exception for you.

Verify your eligibility for court supervision with the judge. If you do, you'll probably have to pay a fine but your driving record won't be affected.

Most likely, your insurance prices won't increase. You might be eligible for driver's school,

.......a corrective course that serves as a reminder that speeding is terrible, if the crime was a little more serious

(higher speeds but not ones that shock the conscience). You will pay a little bit more if you enroll in driving school. If that doesn't work, go to step #1.

Overall, it was one of my favorite nights ever, whether I was working or not; how often does something like this occur?
